Understanding Your Welile Repayment Balance

If you use a smartphone, your rent plan is on your tenant dashboard. This page explains what each figure means.

If you do not use a smartphone, the same information comes to you in your payment messages, and your agent can read your plan to you.

The figures on your plan

Total rent plan. The full amount you repay under this plan — your landlord's rent plus the request fee and the access fee. It does not change as you pay.

Paid. Everything recorded against your plan so far, shown with a percentage of the plan completed.

Balance. What is left to pay. This is the number that matters most, and the one to use if you ever want to finish the plan early.

Daily repayment. The amount expected from you each day. If you repay weekly, this is your weekly amount instead.

Term. How many days your plan runs for.

Start and end dates. When repayment began, and the date the plan is meant to reach zero.

Recent payments. Your latest payments with their amounts and dates.

Today versus overall

Two different things, and mixing them up causes needless worry:

  • Your balance is everything still to pay across the whole plan.
  • Today's amount is what today asks of you.

Clearing today does not finish the plan, and a falling balance does not mean nothing is due today.

How each day is treated

Each day of your plan is either not paid, part paid or cleared, depending on what has been received against it.

Your money always fills the oldest open day first. If you fell behind, your next payment goes to the day you missed before it touches today.

Checking where you stand

  • On a smartphone: open your tenant dashboard.
  • Without one: keep your payment messages. Each one states what was received and what remains.
  • Either way: your agent can tell you your balance.

If your own record and the app disagree, ask support to check rather than guessing — have your payment messages ready.
