What Happens If You Pay More Than Your Welile Repayment

The extra is not lost and not wasted. It goes forward onto your coming days, in order, until it runs out.

This is the best thing to do on a good day. Traders and boda riders often pay a week ahead after a strong market day, so a quiet day later does not put them behind.

How the extra is used​

Your payments fill the days of your plan in order — oldest first. When a day is fully covered, the money moves on to the next one.

So an extra amount covers the next day fully, then the one after, and whatever is left sits against the following day as part payment. Nothing is held back and nothing is returned.

Example 1 — covering the next day​

Your daily repayment is UGX 9,200.

You pay UGX 15,000.

Today's UGX 9,200 is cleared. The remaining UGX 5,800 goes onto tomorrow, which is then part paid — you would need UGX 3,400 more to clear tomorrow completely.

Example 2 — covering several days​

Your daily repayment is UGX 9,200.

You pay UGX 20,000.

Today is cleared. Tomorrow is cleared. The remaining UGX 1,600 goes toward the day after that.

You are covered for two days and have made a start on the third.

Does paying ahead change my plan?​

No. Paying early does not change your total repayment, your fees or your agreed dates. It changes when you next need to find money.

You cannot pay more than your remaining balance — the app will not accept it — so there is no way to overpay your plan as a whole.

Can I just finish the whole thing early?​

Yes. Pay your remaining balance and the plan is complete. Use the balance shown on your plan as the amount, because it is rarely the same as the daily figure.

Finishing early does not refund the access fee, which was set when your plan was created.
