How to Join the Welile Angel Pool

Participation involves agreeing to the Early Angel Pool Shareholders Agreement, contributing, and having an allocation recorded against you.

Before anything else​

Read what participants receive. It sets out what the agreement says you do and do not get — non-voting, no board seat, no governance, and no dividends expected for at least four years.

If the amount matters to you, take the agreement to somebody independent first.

The steps​

  1. Talk to Welile. Contact support or your Welile contact and say you want to take part in the Angel Pool. Ask what is currently available, since the pool is capped.
  2. Read the agreement. Welile provides the Early Angel Pool Shareholders Agreement. Read all of it, including the risk disclosure.
  3. Confirm the price and what your amount buys under the current offer. See share price.
  4. Sign the agreement. There is a signing step, and your name and the date go on it.
  5. Pay, using only the route Welile gives you.
  6. Get your allocation confirmed in writing, showing your share of the pool and the corresponding share of company ownership.

Ask for these in writing​

Before you pay:

  • the price per unit and what your amount buys;
  • how much of the pool is still available;
  • what evidence of ownership you will receive, and when;
  • who to contact about your participation afterwards.

After you pay:

  • written confirmation of your allocation;
  • a copy of the signed agreement.

Keep your payment confirmation as well. Your own bank or mobile money record is independent of Welile's.

Never pay a personal account

An ownership contribution should go only through the route Welile gives you. Nobody should ask you to send it to a personal phone number or personal bank account, whatever their role.

Nobody from Welile will ask for your password or a one-time code.

Whether there is a self-service route to join — a public page where you can complete this yourself — has not been confirmed for publication, so this page does not describe one. Going through Welile directly is the route we can stand behind.

The exact messages you receive during and after joining are also not documented. Ask what to expect, so you know whether something has gone missing.
