What You Need to Become a Welile Partner

Have these ready before you open the onboarding page.

What you need before you start

Your name and contact details. How Welile reaches you about your portfolio and your payouts.

The account your returns should be paid to. Either:

  • a bank account — the bank, the account name and the account number; or
  • mobile money — the network and the number.

A next of kin. Their name and a contact for them.

Your contribution amount. At least UGX 50,000.

A decision on your return method — monthly payout or compounding. See return methods.

What you accept

The partnership agreement. Your details complete it, and it sets out the arrangement between you and Welile.

A confirmation of the role — that you are a capital facilitator rather than a lender, and that Welile manages the tenant relationships, the collections and the payouts.

Getting the payout details right

This is the part worth double-checking. Your returns are routed using what you enter here, so:

  • make sure the account name matches your own name;
  • check the account number digit by digit;
  • use a number or account you will keep.

If your details change later, tell Welile rather than assuming a payout will find you.

What is not documented here

Identity documents. Whether a National ID, passport, date of birth or address is required, and whether individuals and companies are treated differently, has not been confirmed for publication. The onboarding page will ask for whatever it needs — and if you are onboarding as a company rather than an individual, ask support what applies before you start.

We would rather leave this blank than guess at a requirement and have you arrive without the right document.
