When and How Welile Partner Returns Are Paid

Returns are worked out monthly against your portfolio. Your portfolio shows the day of the month yours falls due and the date of the next one.

Your own dates

There is no single platform-wide payout date. Each portfolio carries its own payout day and its own next payout date, along with the total earned so far.

Check those on your portfolio rather than assuming a date from what another partner told you.

What happens on your payout date

If your method is monthly payout, the return becomes available to you and is routed to the payout destination on your portfolio — the bank account or mobile money number you gave at onboarding.

If your method is compounding, nothing is paid out. The return is added to your balance and next month's is worked out on the larger figure.

Earned, then paid

Your portfolio records what has been earned. That is not the same as money that has reached you.

A return can be showing as earned while the payment is still being processed. Wait for the money in your own account before treating it as received — and keep the confirmation when it arrives.

Partial periods and the end of the term

A portfolio has a term in months and a maturity date. What happens to a part-month, and exactly how the final period is treated, is not documented here because it has not been confirmed for publication — ask support about your specific portfolio if you are close to maturity.

At the end of the term you either renew or ask for your contribution back. Neither is automatic. See getting your principal back.

If a payout has not arrived

  1. Check your portfolio — has the return been recorded as earned, and has your payout date actually passed?
  2. Check your payout details on the portfolio. A wrong account number is the commonest cause.
  3. Check your own account or mobile money for the credit.
  4. Contact support with your portfolio code, the period concerned and the amount.

Do not assume a missed payout means a problem with your portfolio — it is more often a detail on the destination account.

No genuine payout needs a fee

Nobody should ask you to pay anything to release a return, and nobody from Welile will ask for your password or a one-time code. If somebody does, they are not from Welile.
