How Welile Partner Returns Work
You earn a monthly return on the amount you contributed, at a rate agreed for your portfolio, for a term agreed for your portfolio.
Both the rate and the term are set on your portfolio and shown in your partner account. That is where your own figures live.
Your portfolio's own terms
When your contribution is set up as a portfolio, it carries:
- the amount you contributed;
- a monthly return rate;
- a term, in months, with a maturity date;
- a return method — paid out monthly, or compounding;
- a payout day, and the date your next return falls due;
- a running total of what has been earned.
Rates and terms are set per portfolio and they are not all the same. The onboarding page shows a headline rate for new contributions, but what applies to you is what your portfolio says.
If a rate you were told does not match your portfolio, ask Welile support before contributing more — not afterwards.
When returns start and how they build
Returns are worked out monthly against your portfolio, and your account shows the date the next one falls due along with the total earned so far.
What happens to each month's return depends on your method:
- Monthly payout — it becomes available to you rather than being added to your contribution.
- Compounding — it is added to your balance, so the following month is worked out on the larger amount.
See return methods, and receiving your returns for how and when money reaches you.
What happens at the end of the term
Your portfolio has a maturity date. At that point you either ask for your money back, or renew for another term.
Neither happens automatically — you raise the request. See getting your principal back.
What is not promised
Welile does not promise that a rate will apply to future contributions, that a term will be renewed, or that any particular amount will be earned beyond what your portfolio already records.
Your portfolio and your statements are the record. Anything else — a figure in a message, a promise from somebody claiming to represent Welile — is not.
