The arrangement

Who is a tenant partner? Someone who contributes money that Welile uses to pay tenants' rent, and who earns an agreed monthly return on it. See who is a tenant partner?

What does a partner do? Decides how much to contribute, how it is deployed and how returns are handled — then tracks the portfolio. Welile does the operational work. See what partners do.

Am I lending to the tenant? No. At onboarding you confirm you are a capital facilitator rather than a lender, and that Welile manages the tenants, collections and payouts.

Does this make me a Welile shareholder? No. That is the Angel Pool, a separate arrangement with very different terms.

Returns

How do partners earn? A monthly return on your contribution, at a rate and for a term agreed on your portfolio. See how partners earn.

What rate will I get? Whatever your portfolio says. Rates and terms are set per portfolio, so check yours rather than relying on a figure you were quoted.

What is monthly payout? Each month's return becomes available to you instead of being added to your contribution.

What is compounding? Each month's return is added to your balance, so the next month is worked out on a larger figure. See return methods.

Can I change method later? The onboarding page says you can adjust later, but confirm with support what is possible on a running portfolio before relying on it.

When are returns paid? On your portfolio's payout day. Your portfolio shows the next date. See receiving your returns.

Contributing

What is self support? You browse available houses and choose which ones your money goes behind.

What is company support? You contribute and Welile allocates it to eligible rent plans, which may not be immediate. See support modes.

How much do I need to start? UGX 50,000 minimum. See how much you need.

Is there a maximum? No product-level maximum. Your payment channel's limits still apply, and large contributions are worth arranging with Welile first.

Can I support more than one tenant? Yes.

How do I become a partner? Through the partner onboarding page. See become a partner.

What do I need to register? Your contact details, your payout account, a next of kin, and your contribution amount. See what you need.

How do I top up? Arrange it with Welile, confirming which portfolio it joins and on what terms. See topping up.

Money out

How do I withdraw my returns? On monthly payout they are routed to your payout account on your payout day. See withdrawing returns.

How long does it take? Welile has not published a processing time, so this help centre does not state one.

How do I get my contribution back? Raise a request against the portfolio, normally at maturity. See getting your principal back.

Is that the same as withdrawing returns? No. Returns are what your contribution earned; principal is the contribution itself. Different rules.

Can I get my contribution back early? Your portfolio has a term and your money is deployed against rent for it. If you may need it sooner, raise that before contributing.

Records and access

What is a portfolio? The record of one contribution: amount, rate, term, method, payout dates, total earned and maturity. See your portfolio.

Where do I see my returns? On your portfolio, as the total earned and the next payout date.

Can I get a statement? Yes — request it from Welile with your portfolio code and the period. See statements.

How do I know my contribution was recorded? It appears against your portfolio. That is the confirmation to trust.

What if a transaction does not appear? Contact support with the amount, date, reference and the account you paid from. Do not pay again while it is being traced.

What if I forget my password? Your money is not affected — your portfolio is a record held by Welile. See password and account access.
