The role

Who is a Proxy Agent? An agent who brings partners to Welile and records what they commit. See who is a Proxy Agent?

What do I do day to day? Find people willing to support rent, record their commitments as notes, earmark opportunities, and follow the pending ones up.

Do I work with tenants? No. That is Field Agent work.

Earnings

How do I earn? Three ways: 2% when a partner's capital is put to work, 1% on a later deposit from that partner, and 1% on an Angel Pool contribution made through you. See what you earn.

What is the 2% applied to? The amount placed into the partner's portfolio.

When do I earn? When money actually moves. Creating a note earns nothing.

When does it reach my balance? The earning is recorded, then queued for approval before it credits your withdrawable balance. A gap between the two is normal.

Where do I see my earnings? Your dashboard, and your statement for what was actually credited.

Does the support mode change my percentage? No.

Promissory notes

What is a promissory note? Welile's record of what a partner has committed. See what a promissory note is.

How do I create one? See creating a note.

What does "Compounding" mean on the form? A one-off lump sum. "Monthly" means a recurring contribution with a deduction day. The label is misleading — say "one payment" or "every month" to the partner instead.

Can a note be linked to a rent plan? Yes. Or to empty houses — one kind per note, not both.

Can I create more than one note? Yes. Do not create two for the same commitment.

What happens to houses I earmark? They are held for seven days. Only earmark what a partner has genuinely committed to.

What are the statuses? Pending until the money is there, then activated. See after a note is created.

What if nobody supports it? It stays pending, the houses are released, and you earn nothing. Follow it up.

What is the difference between self support and existing support? Self support earmarks specific rent plans or houses and requires at least one. Existing support records the commitment and lets Welile allocate. See the two support modes.

I was told they are called Auto and Self-Managed. Same things. The product says existing support and self support.

Partners and portfolios

Where do I see my partners? Your partners list on the dashboard.

When is a portfolio created? When the partner's capital is actually placed. The note is your record of the commitment; the portfolio is theirs of the money — see what a portfolio shows.

What do I tell a partner about their rate or getting their money back? Point them at their own portfolio, which sets out the rate, term and maturity date. Do not promise a rate or a return. See how partners earn.

Joining

How do I become a Proxy Agent? Through a Proxy Agent invite link. See become a Proxy Agent.

What do I need? Your name as on your National ID, your phone number and your NIN, plus a Welile account and the agreement. See what you need.

How long does approval take? Welile has not published a time, so this help centre does not state one. It is a human review. See approval.

How do I know I am approved? Your account gains Proxy Agent access.
