How to Become a Welile Proxy Agent

You join through a Proxy Agent invite link, create or sign in to a Welile account, and accept the proxy agent agreement.

Become a Proxy Agent

Before you start​

  • Your National ID, because your name has to match it and you enter your NIN.
  • Your phone number.
  • A few minutes to read the agreement rather than scrolling past it.

The steps​

  1. Open the invite link. If somebody recruited you, use their link so the connection is recorded.
  2. Sign in, or create an account if you do not have one. You cannot accept the agreement without an account.
  3. Read the proxy agent agreement. It is loaded fresh each time, so you are reading the current version.
  4. Enter your details:
    • your full name as it appears on your National ID;
    • your phone number;
    • your National ID number (NIN).
  5. Tick to confirm you accept the agreement.
  6. Submit.

What happens next​

Your acceptance is recorded and your application starts as pending. It is reviewed before you get Proxy Agent access.

You cannot create promissory notes until you are approved. See approval.

Getting it right first time​

Use the name on your National ID, exactly. A mismatch between your account name and your ID is the thing most likely to hold up an application, and it also matters later — withdrawals require a verified identity and a payout number in your own legal name.

Staying safe​

There is no fee to become a Proxy Agent, and nobody should ask you for one. Nobody from Welile will ask for your password or a one-time code.
