What a Welile Merchant Agent Earns

0.5% of the amount, on every completed payout.

One rate, one trigger. It is worked out on the payout amount and credited when the payout is completed — not when you take the request, and not when you send the money.

What you get back depends on whose money you used​

You used company float. The amount is drawn from your float and you receive the 0.5% commission. There is nothing to reimburse.

You used your own Mobile Money or cash. You receive the amount back plus the 0.5% commission.

Example. You pay out UGX 200,000.

  • From your float: UGX 200,000 leaves your float, and UGX 1,000 commission reaches your own balance.
  • From your own line: UGX 201,000 reaches your own balance — the UGX 200,000 back, plus UGX 1,000 commission.

Where it lands​

Your commission goes to your own balance, on your personal number — never the float number. Keeping those separate is why you record two.

Your statement shows what was actually credited, and your dashboard carries your commission history.

What has to be true first​

Completing the payout properly. That means the reference, the method, the confirmation SMS pasted in full, and the proof photo — see how a payout works.

A payout you sent but never completed in the app earns nothing, and leaves money unaccounted for.

Getting your commission out​

It sits in your withdrawable balance, and withdrawing has its own requirements — a verified identity, a verified payout number in your own legal name, and a minimum amount.

See what you need before you can withdraw, and a commission is missing if something has not appeared.

Rates are set by the programme

0.5% is what the platform applies today. Programme rates can change, and your statement is the record of what you were actually paid.

The telecom's own charge​

Sending Mobile Money costs you your network's transfer fee, which is not Welile's charge and varies with the amount.

Factor it into whether a payout is worth taking from your own line. How that charge is treated against your float has not been confirmed for publication — so watch your own figures over your first weeks and raise any drift with Finance rather than absorbing it.
