Registering a Tenant & Posting a Rent Request

Field Agents can help bring tenants and their rental relationships into Welile.

Tenant registration and posting a rent request are related but distinct actions.

Before you start

Have the correct information available.

This can include:

  • tenant name;
  • tenant phone number;
  • landlord details;
  • property or house information;
  • location;
  • house type;
  • rent amount;
  • rental period;
  • payment details required by the current workflow;
  • any other fields required in the live Welile form.

Part 1: Register the tenant

  1. Open tenant registration. From the Field Agent dashboard, open the current tenant registration or add-tenant action.
  2. Enter tenant information. Enter accurate details. Do not guess information.
  3. Add rental information. Where required, connect the tenant to a landlord, a property, a location, a house type, and a rent amount.
  4. Review the details. Confirm that the tenant, landlord, property, and rent information are correct.
  5. Submit. Complete the tenant registration.

Part 2: Post a rent request

  1. Open the rent request action. Choose the correct tenant or rental relationship.
  2. Confirm the rent details. Review the amount and related rental information.
  3. Complete required fields. Provide the information requested by the live product.
  4. Review before submission. Make sure the request belongs to the correct tenant and landlord.
  5. Submit the rent request. After submission, use the status shown by Welile as the source of truth.

Accuracy rules

Never intentionally:

  • post a rent request for someone who is not the tenant;
  • create a false landlord;
  • create a false property;
  • inflate the rent amount;
  • duplicate requests without a valid reason;
  • create activity simply to increase performance numbers.
